Subject: Pet Pals Book |
| Hi Linda,
Thank you so very much for your kind words about Pet Pals. I remember when you bought the book and I appreciate your support. Even though I didn't always agree with the way things were managed at HSHV I am very thankful to for their support and for getting us
started in the right direction. I hope others will read the story of our journey to FMAR. |

Subject: Pet Pals Book |
| Hi Marcy: I bought your book at the Pet Fest and wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed reading it. I was especially happy to get the
full story of Hop-Along; we are on your list because of our donation to his cause. I have been walking dogs at the HSHV for the last five
months, so it was nice to get your impressions of the situation there. I think your book is one of those that everyone who wants to
work in animal welfare should read. You write so well with the details and descriptions of what it took to be where you are today.
I admire your perseverance and that of your husband and volunteers.
Thanks so much for writing it! Yours, Linda Kurtz

Subject: Brody aka Brian Samoyed Rotwillier Mix |
| Anyone who has adopted one of the Samoyed Rotwillier Mixed Pups within this past year from FMAR, please get your dogs hips checked as a precaution. Brian AKA Brody has severe hip displasia inherited from his mom or dad. I have contacted Pete and Marcy, who should have already passesd along this info. Brody is currently on Joint supplements that will take from 2 - 4 weeks to show if benifiting him or not. We are also considering toyal hip replecement for him, if we can save up the sunstansial amount it will take to have it done. Please respond on how your dogs are doing. I will let you know how brodys condition is progressing from time to time.

| Thank you so very much to the Pet Emporium for inviting FMAR to be part of their Pet Fest again this year. The volunteers of FMAR had a great time. The weather was fantastic and we even managed to find great homes for two of our adoptable dogs. It is a pleasure working with everyone at the Pet Emporium. It didn't matter what we needed, they were happy to help. We look forward to the 2009 Pet Fest! |

Subject: Barn Moving Project |
| FMAR has been given a wonderful opportunity to help more animals in the form of a free barn. This barn is insulated and drywalled and looks to be in great condition. The catch is that it would have to be moved about 10 miles. If you or anyone you know might be willing to help us get this building moved we would love to hear from you. We are also looking for people to pour a cement slab/foundation for this barn so we will have something to put it on once it is at our property. Thank you so much. We look forward to talking to you.
734-461-9458 please leave a message and we will get back to you. |

Subject: Ann Marie is the voice of your pet |
| I would like to thank Ann Marie Sawicki and all of the pet familes who joined our chat room on Valentine's day. I thought it was an awesome experience. Ann is a great supporter of FMAR and has helped us find just the right families for many of the animals that come to the shelter to stay while they wait for their new families. Even though several questions were typed in at once Ann was able to sort them out and give everyone a chance to experience her gifts in just one hour. If you still have questions or concerns about an animal or know of someone who would benefit from talking to Ann please have them visit her webisite at www.sessionswithspirit.net. If you were one of the visitors to our chat room with Ann Marie Sawicki we would like to hear from you. Please feel free to leave a blog or go to Ann's website www.sessionswithspirit.net to contact her direct. Thank you again for a great chat! |

Subject: Bobbi and Jerry Inspiration |
| FMAR would like to recognize two wonderful people who are an inspiration to both Pete and I. Jerry and Bobbi B. have been taking in cats (and a couple dogs) for years. Our paths crossed when they were forced to leave their home and move their family to a new area. We lost touch for a while but we were destined to cross paths again. Jerry and Bobbi have been two of the biggest advocates for FMAR by creating and hosting fundraisers without the help or any funding from FMAR. Their efforts have yeilded great rewards for FMAR, however it is their compassion and love that stands out in our hearts. Thank you so much Bobbi and Jerry for your devotion and dedication to the animals of FMAR and for the wonderful friendship and love you have shown Pete and I over the past year. We won't lose touch again. |

Subject: Thank you to U of M |
| FMAR would like to thank U of M for inviting our shelter out for a Pets on the Patio day at the Alice Lloyd Residence Hall. The dogs and cats had a blast getting attention from all of the students. The turn out was GREAT and we can't wait to be invited back. The only thing that would have made it better was a warmer day, but with all the attention the dogs and cats had we all managed to stay warmer than we thought.
